DOGS ARE IN THE BLOOD

I got my first German shepherd in 1983 a black & tan and called him Red. Some years later Red was mated with a local bitch and when her litter was born, I decided to keep one of the pups. This was to be Tyson.

It was because of Red & Tyson that I was offered the job working with the police dog section at Shoebury. I didn't know where my love of dogs came from but it had always been there. It wasent until I got hold of a copy of my birth certificate that all started to become clear. (I was adopted at 1 year old)  On my birth certificate it had my mothers occupation as a kennel maid. I still couldn't trace her and it was some years later we found each other through the genes reunited website. How strange it was when she revealed she had been breeding German Shepherds and rottweilers and showing dogs at crufts most of her life.
